Jimmy’s practice has been primarily devoted to personal injury matters and he has experience on both sides of the docket.
Jimmy has experience with all kinds of litigation, including business disputes, HOA suits, collections, and non-compete/trade secrets disputes. Jimmy has primarily practiced solo, but has also worked with large, small, and medium sized firms over the years, including a stint serving on the trial team with a large firm engaged in a mass tort litigation involving a major drug company alleged to have caused heart damage to thousands of patients.
At the Lanza Law Firm, Jimmy has defended injury and property damage claims arising from trucking accidents, commercial transport accidents, heavy tow operations, product defects, and premises defects. He has handled claims involving both commercial and personal insurance lines and both liability and uninsured/underinsured motorist claims.
Jimmy graduated from The University of Texas Plan II Honors Program and then The University of Texas School of Law. He resides in Bellaire, Texas, where he grew up and where he was a past Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission. His children all attended Bellaire High School, as did he. His wife teaches school at a well-known private middle school in central Houston. He enjoys the food and Mr. Blues at Pico’s. He enjoys sports and played basketball with friends on a regular basis until very recently.
Now, in addition to keeping up with Houston’s professional sports teams, he looks forward to the occasional company of his 3 children and 2 very young grandchildren and annual trips to the Hill Country and Colorado with his wife and friends.
